Environmental Policy

As a provider of intelligent building solutions, Senbee A/S ("Senbee") recognises its responsibility to manage its environmental impact and to help customers operate buildings more efficiently. Buildings account for a significant share of energy use and emissions, and our platform is designed to support smarter, more data-driven operation of the built environment.

This Environmental Policy outlines our commitment to environmental responsibility, resource efficiency, pollution prevention, legal compliance, and continual improvement. The policy is informed by the principles of ISO 14001 and relevant Danish and European environmental objectives, while reflecting Senbee's role as a software and smart building technology company.

Scope

This policy applies to Senbee's operations, employees, contractors, suppliers, partners, products, and services where Senbee has operational control or meaningful influence.

The policy covers environmental impacts related to our software platform, cloud infrastructure, offices, equipment, business travel, procurement, product design, suppliers, and customer-facing solutions.

Environmental Principles

Senbee is committed to:

Environmental Aspects and Impact

Senbee identifies and reviews the environmental aspects most relevant to its business. These include:

We assess these aspects with a lifecycle perspective, considering both direct impacts from our own operations and indirect impacts from suppliers, infrastructure providers, and customer use of our services.

Energy Efficiency

Senbee's platform is designed to improve energy efficiency in buildings through data-driven automation, monitoring, optimisation, and better operational visibility.

Internally, we aim to minimise energy use in our offices, infrastructure, and workflows by choosing efficient technologies, monitoring resource consumption where practical, reducing unnecessary processing, and selecting renewable or lower-impact energy options where available and commercially reasonable.

Digital Infrastructure and Cloud Services

As a software company, our digital infrastructure is one of our most important environmental impact areas. We work to design, operate, and improve our systems efficiently by:

Reducing Emissions in Our Operations

Senbee is committed to identifying and reducing greenhouse gas emissions across its operations where reasonably possible. This includes digital-first workflows, efficient infrastructure, responsible travel choices, low-emission commuting options where practical, and avoiding unnecessary resource use.

We prioritise practical reductions before relying on offsetting. Where emissions cannot reasonably be avoided, we may consider credible compensation measures as a secondary option.

Reducing Customers' Environmental Impact

Senbee helps customers improve the environmental performance of buildings by making operational data easier to understand and act on. Our platform can support:

We aim to build tools that help customers make better decisions, reduce waste, and operate buildings more intelligently.

Sustainable Product and Service Design

Senbee designs its products and services with longevity, maintainability, modularity, and efficiency in mind. We aim to avoid unnecessary complexity, reduce technical waste, and build systems that can evolve rather than be replaced prematurely.

Where hardware, integrations, or partner services are involved, we seek to promote responsible procurement, efficient operation, repairability, reuse, and appropriate disposal.

Procurement and Supplier Expectations

Senbee expects suppliers, partners, and contractors to act responsibly and comply with applicable environmental laws and regulations.

Where relevant, environmental considerations may be included in supplier selection, review, and ongoing cooperation. This may include energy efficiency, emissions performance, responsible waste handling, use of hazardous materials, data centre practices, transport impact, product lifecycle, and environmental certifications or policies.

Waste, Equipment, and Resource Use

Senbee seeks to reduce waste and use resources responsibly. We aim to:

Travel and Meetings

Senbee supports digital-first collaboration where this is effective and appropriate. Business travel should be purposeful, proportionate, and planned with consideration for environmental impact, cost, and operational value.

Where travel is necessary, employees are encouraged to choose lower-impact travel options where practical.

Employee Engagement and Awareness

Senbee encourages employees to contribute to environmentally responsible operations. Environmental awareness may be included in onboarding, internal communication, procurement decisions, office routines, product planning, and operational reviews.

Employees are encouraged to identify opportunities for reducing waste, improving efficiency, and supporting customers' sustainability goals.

Stakeholder Engagement

Senbee engages with customers, partners, suppliers, and the wider smart building community to promote more efficient and sustainable building operations.

We aim to share knowledge, support responsible innovation, and collaborate with stakeholders who want to improve environmental performance in the built environment.

Objectives, Monitoring, and Review

Senbee may define environmental objectives and indicators appropriate to its size, activities, and environmental impact. These may include measures related to infrastructure efficiency, energy optimisation, supplier performance, equipment lifecycle, waste reduction, travel, and customer-enabled environmental improvements.

Environmental objectives are reviewed periodically and updated where relevant. The purpose is to ensure that environmental considerations remain practical, measurable, and connected to Senbee's business and customer impact.

Responsibilities

The CEO is responsible for ensuring that this policy is maintained and reviewed. Relevant managers and employees are responsible for applying the policy within their areas of work, including product development, operations, procurement, supplier management, and customer delivery.

All employees are expected to act responsibly, use resources sensibly, and support Senbee's environmental objectives where relevant to their role.

Review and Continuous Improvement

This Environmental Policy is reviewed periodically to ensure that it remains relevant to Senbee's activities, services, legal obligations, customer expectations, and environmental impact.

Senbee is committed to continual improvement of its environmental performance through practical actions, responsible decision-making, and ongoing review of its products, operations, suppliers, and infrastructure.
