This is the home of Senbee's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) program.
Caring about our impact goes back to the founding of Senbee. We've always made a conscious effort to operate responsibly, from the renewable energy powering our data centers, to pay parity within our team, to the very purpose of our product: making buildings smarter and less wasteful. We are determined to play our part as we work towards a better world.

Environment
We are in the business of delivering workplace software, which results in a comparatively modest environmental footprint of our own. The largest portion of it comes from our value chain, hosting, purchased services, hardware, and business travel.
We are committed to operating responsibly and continuously seeking opportunities to reduce our impact: our data centers run on renewable energy, all our infrastructure is hosted in the EU, and we offset our operational emissions by planting trees with One Tree Planted.
We want full transparency into the environmental impact of our actions, so we calculate our carbon footprint with the widest possible framework, covering scopes 1, 2, and 3 according to the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, and publish the numbers in our annual ESG reports.
Our biggest lever, though, is our product: by measuring, optimizing, and automating building operations, we help building owners cut their emissions and energy costs.
Governance
We have established a governance framework that promotes continuous improvement, ethical decision-making, and transparency across our operations. Our Code of Conduct serves as an ethical compass for our daily actions, and we encourage our partners to commit to the same high standards.
To ensure awareness and accountability, all employees complete mandatory annual training covering information security, privacy, anti-corruption, and responsible AI use, embedding good practices from day one.
Corporate governance
Our Code of Conduct is a guiding framework for ethical and responsible behaviour across all areas of our business.
Our whistleblower scheme lets employees and partners report concerns safely and anonymously, with clear protection against retaliation.
Our data ethics policy and AI policy set clear expectations for the responsible use of data and AI, covering sensitive information, privacy, and intellectual property.
Security & privacy
We maintain robust information security and data protection practices that are regularly reviewed and aligned with international standards.
Our operations are certified under ISO 27001, we are GDPR-aligned and hosted entirely in the EU, and we publish our full list of sub-processors transparently.

Every January we publish an ESG report covering the previous calendar year, measuring our progress honestly, including the numbers we're not proud of yet.
ESG Report 2025
Our first ESG report marks a foundational year for Senbee's sustainability journey. In 2025, we launched our ESG 1.0 program, achieved ISO27001 certification, reached full gender pay parity, and began measuring our emissions across scopes 1, 2, and 3. This report captures the actions we've taken and the groundwork we've laid for building smarter, more sustainable spaces.

Social
Our social commitments cover employee wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, and engagement with our local community.
Employee wellbeing
We're committed to the wellbeing of our employees and support their physical and mental health: everyone gets six weeks of vacation per year, and our health insurance includes mental health support and family therapy. We trust our people to choose where and how they deliver their work best, hybrid and flexible work is the norm for the whole team.
We believe in a workplace where everyone feels valued and respected. Equal pay for equal work is embedded in our compensation policy, and broadening the diversity of our team, in gender, background, and perspective, is an explicit goal in our recruitment.
Community engagement
We're actively involved in our local community and support initiatives that make a positive impact. We offer our platform free or discounted to non-profit organisations, including the NGO coworking community at VOX, promoting good causes with the same technology we build for commercial spaces.
Beyond our walls, we plant trees through our partnership with One Tree Planted and partner with coworking spaces, universities, and the local tech community in Aarhus to stay connected and give back. Read the VOX journey
