Guided by Purpose: Building smarter, more sustainable spaces
This is Senbee's first Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report, marking an important milestone since launching our comprehensive ESG program earlier this year. However, our commitment to creating smarter and more sustainable spaces has been at the heart of Senbee since day one. From optimizing building energy efficiency to fostering inclusive work environments, we've always prioritized solutions that benefit both people and the planet.
Throughout 2025, we've made significant strides, with impactful ESG innovations and further advancements already planned for the coming year, including driving meaningful reductions in the carbon footprint of the spaces we help manage.
We hope this report provides valuable insight into our journey and inspires collaboration. If you have any questions or ideas on how we can continue to improve, we'd love to hear from you.

Environment
Inspired by our partners and clients, we are committed to enhancing transparency in our operations, starting with a comprehensive calculation of our carbon footprint across scope 1, 2, and 3, following the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard. This year, we transitioned our Aarhus headquarters to run entirely on renewable energy, ensuring that all Senbee offices are now powered by clean energy. Additionally, we updated our Environmental Management System and established science-based targets to drive meaningful reductions in our emissions.

Emissions

Emissions have been calculated across scope 1, 2, and 3 in line with the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, using data from 2025. Our biggest emissions driver was third-party cloud infrastructure and associated data transmission. On the other hand, our lean hardware policy, minimal office footprint, and strong preference for remote work and virtual meetings helped keep travel- and facility-related emissions low.

In 2025, we're focusing on reducing our carbon intensity relative to revenue , a key metric guiding our progress toward long-term sustainability.
We remain committed to aligning our emissions trajectory with the 1.5°C scenario outlined by the IPCC. As part of this, we've partnered with an external provider to compensate for our scope 1 and 2 emissions from both 2023 and 2025. These offsets support high-quality projects that have already delivered measurable climate benefits, while also contributing to biodiversity and positive local impact.
Open Source software
At Senbee, we rely on and contribute to open-source software across our entire stack, from backend infrastructure to frontend components. Open source isn't just a cost-effective foundation; it's a mindset aligned with transparency, collaboration, and long-term resilience.
Many of the tools we build on are open source, and whenever possible, we give back, by reporting bugs, contributing fixes, or releasing our own internal tools to the community. We believe this reciprocity helps elevate the ecosystem we all depend on.
While we're still a young company, we're committed to making open source a core part of our development culture moving forward. Several internal projects are being prepared for public release, and we're actively exploring ways to sponsor and support the communities behind the tools we use every day.
Governance
In 2025, we laid the groundwork for structured and responsible ESG work at Senbee. With our ESG 1.0 program launched, we formalized governance to ensure long-term progress and accountability. Key initiatives included:
- Launch of our ESG Governance Forum, led by senior leadership
- Introduction of our Anti-Corruption Policy and training
- Publication of a new Code of Conduct and supplier assessment process
Building ESG into How We Work
Our ESG 1.0 program gave us a clear picture of where we stand and where we need to go. To keep momentum, we established a governance structure designed to ensure continuous improvement. The ESG Governance Forum, made up of senior leaders, meets regularly to set direction, track progress, and align ESG with business goals. Supporting them is a dedicated cross-functional team that drives day-to-day implementation.
Anti-Corruption Policy & Training
In 2025, we implemented a clear anti-corruption policy across Senbee. The policy outlines our zero-tolerance approach to bribery and unethical business practices. Mandatory training ensures that everyone at Senbee understands their responsibilities and feels empowered to report misconduct. This forms part of our commitment to a culture of integrity, both internally and across our partnerships.
Code of Conduct & Supplier Engagement
Our updated Code of Conduct reflects Senbee's values, transparency, accountability, and human-centered design. It's a required part of onboarding and is reinforced in ongoing training.
We've also begun strengthening our approach to suppliers. In 2026, we will launch a new due diligence process to better assess risks and open a two-way dialogue about sustainability, ethics, and shared standards.
Our Code of Conduct is available on our website. Questions can be directed to your contact at Senbee.
Security & Privacy
Security and privacy are foundational to Senbee's work. In 2025, we invested heavily in strengthening our internal controls and processes, resulting in our successful ISO/IEC 27001 certification.
We maintain a rigorous approach to protecting customer data and infrastructure, aligning our practices with international standards and upcoming NIS2 requirements.
You can read more about our approach on the Senbee Trust Center page.
Social
Senbee is built by people, for people , and that starts with our own team. We're committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and rewarding workplace where everyone feels empowered to do meaningful work.
In 2025, we strengthened our internal focus on well-being and inclusivity. While we're still a small team, we've begun shaping our diversity and inclusion practices, introduced flexible work policies, and ensured that everyone has access to the tools and autonomy they need to thrive.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
At Senbee, we're building a workplace where inclusion isn't an initiative , it's the foundation. We believe that diverse perspectives create better products, stronger teams, and a healthier company.
In 2025, we maintained full pay parity across our team, with no unexplained salary differences between employees in similar roles. While we're still a small and tight-knit group, we're intentional about inclusive hiring, transparent communication, and giving everyone equal ownership in how Senbee grows.
As we expand, we're committed to formalizing our DEI policy, including future evaluations that go beyond gender to explore equity across age, background, and more.
Employee Well-being
Work should work for people , not the other way around. Senbee is a fully flexible, remote-friendly company where everyone has the autonomy to shape how they work best.
In 2025, we continued to support our team's well-being with generous time off, full flexibility on working hours, and a no-nonsense culture of trust. We don't track hours , we track impact. And we make space for regular check-ins, in-person team meetups, and policies that reflect the life-first nature of modern work.
