Guided by Purpose: Building smarter, more sustainable spaces
This is Senbee's first Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report, marking an important milestone since launching our comprehensive ESG program earlier this year. However, our commitment to creating smarter and more sustainable spaces has been at the heart of Senbee since day one. From optimizing building energy efficiency to fostering inclusive work environments, we've always prioritized solutions that benefit both people and the planet.
Throughout 2025, we've made significant strides, with impactful ESG innovations and further advancements already planned for the coming year, including driving meaningful reductions in the carbon footprint of the spaces we help manage.

Environment
Our environmental approach focuses on minimising our own footprint while helping the buildings we serve do the same, with particular attention to energy efficiency, emissions, and responsible operations. 2025 is our baseline year: the first full year in which we measured our greenhouse gas emissions across scopes 1, 2, and 3.
GHG emissions in 2025
Our carbon emission calculations were completed for scopes 1, 2, and 3 following the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard. As a cloud-native software company, we have no direct (scope 1) emissions; our footprint is dominated by our value chain (scope 3), including hosting, purchased services, hardware, and business travel.

2025 is our baseline year, so no year-over-year comparison is available. From 2026 onwards we will report changes against this baseline.
Where our emissions come from
Behind the scope totals, five sources make up our entire footprint. Purchased goods and services, hosting, software licenses, and hardware, account for two thirds of our emissions, followed by employee commuting.

Per-source figures are estimates allocated within our measured scope totals and rounded, so columns may not sum exactly.
With a team of seven, our total footprint corresponds to roughly one tonne of CO2e per employee. Because revenue-based intensity ratios are not yet meaningful at our size, emissions per employee is the intensity metric we will track against this baseline going forward.
Methodology
We calculate our greenhouse gas footprint annually following the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, covering scopes 1, 2, and 3, using recognised emission factors for each category. Office electricity is not yet separately metered and is therefore estimated; metering it is a goal for 2026. As 2025 is our baseline year, year-over-year comparisons begin in our 2026 report.
Our data centers run on renewable energy
Our infrastructure is hosted entirely in the EU in facilities operated by Digital Realty, and we weigh energy efficiency in our choice of suppliers and data centers. Our office energy mix is not yet separately metered; measuring it, and moving to a certified renewable supply, is a goal for 2026.
Offsetting our emissions
To take responsibility for our own footprint from day one, we compensated our 2025 scope 1 and 2 emissions through our partnership with One Tree Planted, supporting reforestation projects that deliver immediate climate impact.
From 2026, our ambition is to extend compensation to cover our scope 3 emissions as well, while prioritising reductions over offsets wherever we can.
Impact through our product
Heating and cooling buildings account for roughly 15% of global carbon emissions, and our biggest environmental lever is the software we build. By measuring, optimizing, and automating building operations, Senbee helps building owners lower heating, cooling, lighting, and electric-related carbon emissions by up to 40% and reduce energy costs by up to 25%.

Governance
We see strong corporate governance as a core part of our sustainability work. It supports effective management, ethical decision-making, and long-term value for our stakeholders. Our Code of Conduct serves as an ethical compass for our daily actions. In 2025, we strengthened our governance framework with several key improvements:
Continuous training for the whole team
All employees completed mandatory training covering information security, privacy, anti-corruption, and responsible AI use, reinforcing our Code of Conduct in daily work.

We achieved ISO 27001 certification, formalising our information security management system with regular reviews and incident response procedures.

Senbee is GDPR-aligned and hosted entirely in the EU, and our data center facilities hold their own ISO 27001 and SOC 2 attestations. Privacy plays a central role in how we design and deliver our services.
